The Credit Unions of Wales Awards recognise the people, partnerships and organisations making a real difference to communities across Wales. From dedicated volunteers and inspiring members to innovative credit unions and valued partners, these awards celebrate the individuals and initiatives that strengthen financial wellbeing and community resilience every day.
Every category highlights a unique contribution to the success of the credit union sector, ensuring that the achievements of people at every level are recognised and celebrated.

How Does Voting Work?
1. Nominations Open
Credit unions from across Wales submit nominations for the award categories, highlighting outstanding achievements, inspiring individuals and successful initiatives from throughout the sector.
2. Public Voting Begins
Once nominations have been reviewed, eligible nominees are put forward for public voting. Members, supporters, colleagues, friends, families and communities are invited to cast their votes for the nominees they believe deserve recognition.
3. Choose Your Winners
Browse the award categories, read about the nominees and vote for those who have made the greatest impact. Whether it’s an inspiring volunteer, an innovative credit union, an outstanding member of staff or a valued community partner, every vote helps celebrate excellence across Wales.
4. Finalists Are Announced
The three nominees receiving the highest number of votes in each category will be shortlisted as finalists. Finalists will be announced in January 2027 and invited to attend the Credit Unions of Wales Awards Gala Dinner
5. Winners Revealed
The winners of each category will be announced live at the Credit Unions of Wales Awards Gala Dinner on 26 February 2027, where the sector comes together to celebrate success, dedication and achievement.
Award Categories
Nominations for each category will be promoted across Credit Unions of Wales social media channels from 1 October 2026, giving communities, colleagues, members and supporters the opportunity to learn more about the inspiring individuals and organisations shortlisted for recognition.
As nominees are announced, you’ll be able to cast your vote through the Credit Unions of Wales website and help decide who progresses to the finals. Every vote plays an important role in recognising those who go above and beyond to support financial wellbeing, strengthen communities and champion the values of the credit union movement across Wales.
